As the error message indicates, the loss of network connection on the device where you are trying to watch content causes this issue. Follow the instructions listed below.

your home network, restart it

Restart your home network

  • Turn off all of your home networking hardware, then reconnect it after a few minutes.
  • If your wireless router is a separate device, could you unplug it as well?
  • Try again after restarting your device

Boost the signal from your Wi-Fi:

The following advice should be used if the measures above didn't resolve your Wi-Fi connection issues:

To strengthen the signal, relocate your router to a new spot. If the router is in the middle of your house, you will typically get better reception there.

  • Move wireless appliances that are close to your router, such as cordless phones and microwaves. When attempting to connect through Wi-Fi, these devices may cause wireless interference that can cause problems.
  • Move your router up off the ground. You will receive better reception if your router is situated on top of a desk or bookshelf rather than behind or under furniture.
  • A different internet connection should be tried
  • Connect your mobile device to a different internet access point to rule out any potential issues with your home network configuration.

For instance:

  • Try to connect to another Wi-Fi network that is within range of your device.
  • Bring your device to a friend's or neighbour's house and try to stream there.
  • Try using a cellular data network if you have access to one on your device. While we normally do not recommend streaming over a data network as a cure, it is an excellent approach to determine whether a problem with your home network configuration is the cause of your inability to stream without interruption.
  • If you can stream using a different internet connection, we advise getting in touch with the company that put up your home network to address any potential configuration difficulties.

What will we do next?

Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) if you've tried the procedures above and are still having trouble connecting to Hotstar. If your router is configured correctly to communicate with the other devices on your home network, they can assist you in making that determination.
